FAQ

The questions parents actually ask.

Safety

How do you keep content safe?

Every prompt is screened before generation, and every game's HTML is scanned before it reaches the player. We block violent themes, scary imagery, romantic content, and anything age-inappropriate. Games can also be flagged in one tap from any play page — flagged games are hidden immediately and reviewed within 24 hours.

What if my kid generates something weird?

It happens — AI is creative and sometimes off-target. Hit "Tweak the prompt" on the cooking screen to retry without using a credit, or roll back to a previous revision. If something genuinely shouldn't have made it past our filter, email us and we'll refund the credit and tighten the screen.

What age is BrainLab Games for?

Designed for ages 4–10. Kids 7+ can usually drive the wizard themselves; under 7s tend to play games a parent or older sibling makes for them. The interface uses big tap targets and simple language so a non-reader can still pick chips and watch their game come alive.

Can I review games before my kid plays?

Yes. In your account settings you can require parent approval before any new game becomes playable — you'll get an email with a one-time code, and the game stays locked until you approve it. Off by default for speed; turn it on if you'd rather pre-screen.

Do you share games publicly?

No. Every game has a private share link that only people you send it to can open. We feature a small handful of community games on our home page and Examples gallery — but only ones whose creators explicitly opt in.

Pricing & Billing

How much does it cost?

First game is free, no signup. After that: Spark Pack at $1.99 gives you 10 tokens (one game + 5 changes). Family at $9.99/month gives you 60 tokens plus access to the premium AI. See full details on the pricing page.

What's a token?

A token is the unit you spend to make games. A new game costs 5 tokens; a change to an existing game (e.g. "less scary", "add purple") costs 1 token. Free tier covers your first game forever. Spark Pack gives you 10 tokens; Family gives 60 fresh tokens every month plus access to the premium AI.

Can I refund?

Yes — within 7 days, no questions asked. See our refund policy.

How do I cancel?

One click from your account page. Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period — no surprise prorated charges, no retention pop-ups, no "are you sure?" interstitials.

Do you offer family sharing?

One Family plan covers everyone in your household — multiple kids on one account, separate game libraries, no extra seats to buy.

How it works

How long does it take to generate a game?

Most games are ready in 60–90 seconds. We show a live progress bar with honest ETAs (no fake spinners), and you can share the link before the game even finishes — the friend opening it sees a "still cooking" page that auto-refreshes.

Which browsers work?

Any modern browser — Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Edge — on phone, tablet, or computer. No app to install.

Can my kid play offline?

Once a game has loaded, gameplay itself runs entirely in the browser — no internet needed for the game to keep running. Saving scores to the leaderboard, sharing links, and making new games all need a connection.

Can I revise a game?

Yes — say what to change in plain English ("less scary", "make it harder", "add purple") and the AI rebuilds. Old versions are kept so you can roll back if a tweak made it worse.

Do you support voice input?

Not yet. It's high on the roadmap — voice-to-prompt would be a real unlock for pre-readers.

Account & Privacy

Do you collect data on my child?

No. Your kid never enters personal info. A first name (if you give one) stays on your account, never gets shared, and is only used inside the games we generate for them. See our COPPA statement.

Can I delete my account and data?

Yes — one click from your account page erases your games, prompts, and account details. We retain billing records for 90 days for refund eligibility, then those go too. Email us if you need it sooner.

What login options do you support?

Email-link login (we send a 6-digit code) and OAuth via Google. No passwords to remember or lose.

Do you support two-factor auth?

Not yet — on the roadmap. Email-link login already removes the password as a phishing target; we'll add TOTP/passkey support before we add anything that would make a BrainLab Games account valuable to compromise.

What happens to my games if I cancel?

Every game you've made stays viewable, replayable, and shareable. Cancelling only pauses new generation — your kid can keep playing what they already have, forever.
